The European Festival Awards (EFA) prize is one of the highest honors that a European festival can receive. Established in 2010 by the Yourope European festival association and Virtual Festivals Europe, the award shines a spotlight each year on the standout events that make Europe’s festival scene truly unique.
This prestigious honor has already been awarded to festivals such as Sziget, Electric Castle, and Open’er. It would be a huge honor if VIBE could join this illustrious group as an award-winning festival.
The VIBE Festival isn’t new to the EFA shortlist: back in 2017, after our very first year, we made it onto the shortlist for “Best New Festivals,” a major milestone for us. We were invited to the European Festival Awards ceremony, where we could stand among Europe’s finest festivals.
After overcoming the challenges of the pandemic, we once again filled the banks of the Mureș River with tens of thousands of festival-goers in 2022, and that year we made another attempt at winning the top prize in the “Impossible Without Youth” category.
Since then, VIBE has continued to grow, and we’ve increased our attendance numbers year by year. In 2024, we reached a new level, breaking attendance records with 112,600 festival-goers. This achievement allows us to compete in the “Best Medium-Sized Festival” category.
We’re proud to represent our community on the European stage as the largest Hungarian festival in Transylvania!
If enthusiasm alone determined the winners, we’d already be champions – we know how many of you support us! But now we need you to vote and help VIBE secure an even greater spot on Europe’s festival map!
Voting is open from October 25 to November 20, and every vote brings us closer to recognition.
Follow these steps to vote:
1. Visit https://www.europeanfestivalawards.org/public-voting/.
2. Click the “Public Voting” button.
3. Select your favorite festival in all three categories.
4. Rate the line-ups from 1 to 10!
5. Choose the best new festival as well.
