For the past few days, there has been speculation about who the international star at the 2024 VIBE Festival in Târgu Mureș will be, especially after mysterious stickers appeared in the heart of the city. The speculation has ended: the headliner of the 2024 VIBE Festival will be the American Jason Derulo, who will take the stage with a mega live show of global caliber.
Derulo, the TikTok King
The pop and R&B singer and songwriter, with 58.1 million followers, is not randomly called the TikTok King: he is currently the fourth most-followed man on TikTok, and his dance videos are always in sync with the most viral songs in the online world.
He took the stage at the age of five and wrote his first song at just eight. At 16, he had already collaborated with artists like Puff Daddy and Pitbull. His first album was released in 2010, and he quickly climbed the charts with sales of over 250 million worldwide singles and 15 platinum hits, including Whatcha Say, Wiggle, Talk Dirty, Want to Want Me, Trumpets, Marry Me, Swalla, Savage Love, and Take You Dancing.
When?
The VIBE Festival will take place this year between July 4 and 7, on the banks of the Mureș River, featuring the coolest artists from both the country and abroad. The festival stands out with a mix of musical styles ranging from pop, hip-hop, rap, trap, techno to rock, and many live concerts that create a unique energy between artists and spectators.
Three ticket categories have already been sold out, including Super Early tickets, VIBE Christmas BOX tickets, and 299 lei tickets. Currently, a pass costs 369 lei, which can be purchased on the vibefestival.ro website, from promoters, and partner organizations.
From a student festival to over 100,000 participants
"In six years, the VIBE Festival has surpassed its character as a student festival and has become one of the largest festivals in Transylvania, with hundreds of thousands of participants. In the coming period, our goal is to consolidate this status and take the festival to a new level," said Rés Konrád-Gergely, the main organizer of the festival.
